Here Again - A collection of three scores
The three of us are here to coexist.
Today we are different than we were yesterday.
Tonight will be different from last night.
Tomorrow will be different from tonight
We shift, listen, and let you in.
Here we are again.
In Fall 2016, Vancouver dance artists Felicia Lau, Erika Mitsuhashi and Mahaila Patterson-O’Brien formed the collective, Farouche. The collective’s artistic practice is focused towards collaborative creation and addressing individual voices within a collective setting. Their choreographic interests consist of devising structured movement scores, thinking bodies, formal clarity, and visual design. In their time together, Farouche self-produced their debut show at the Gold Saucer (2016), participated in the Simon Fraser University’s SCA Alumni Dance Lab (2017), were artists and residence at the Anvil Centre (2017), facilitated a workshop with the first year students of the SFU Dance program (2017), and premiered their first full length work, We Talk Disco One Day, at the Gold Saucer (2018).
