25 years of research between iconic choreographer/dancer Margie Gillis and painter/sculptor Randal Newman culminates in the world premiere of The Light Between, a modular work of solos, duos and trios reflecting their long process of thought on the fundamental nature of being human—our vulnerability, our capacity for hope. Transformative dance by Margie Gillis, Marc Daigle, Paola Styron/Holly Bright connecting to Newman’s sculptural and pictorial evocations of the dancer’s body and luminously lit by the imagination of lighting designer Pierre Lavoie, promises to provide an evening of dance that will move our hearts, fuel our spirits.
