SUPPORT THE VIDF

The Government of British Columbia abruptly, and without public consultation, slashed funding for arts and culture groups in British Columbia in September of 2009. Direct Access grants from the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch of the BC Government were eliminated for arts and culture groups. For Vancouver arts and culture groups, this means that over 4 million dollars of support has been stripped from us. The Vancouver International Dance Festival will be deprived of $50,000 in funding support in 2011. You can help us directly by donating to the VIDF Endowment Fund. Every dollar that you donate to the VIDF is invested in our Socially Responsible Endowment Fund which is supervised by the Vancouver Foundation. Please enquire to see if your employer provides matching contributions to the charities you donate to. Donations may also be made on behalf of or in memory of your loved ones. Click on this link to the Vancouver Foundation donation page to make your donation. Enter "VIDF" in the search bar below "To a Specific Fund" and then click on "Vancouver International Dance Festival Society Fund" in the search results. You will automatically be sent a tax deductible receipt for your donation of $25 or more.
